Coralito’s Bay Book Release Celebration!

Sunday, June 20, 2004
1:00pm to 4:00pm
At the Center Court of Northridge Mall in Salinas

Come celebrate the release of the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Foundation’s new Spanish-bilingual children’s book, Coralito’s Bay! Coralito’s Bay is the story of a young boy’s imaginary underwater adventures through the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. This dream-like journey in his father’s adapted flower truck shows young Coralito the natural wonders of living in the Sanctuary, and how important clean waters are to it’s inhabitants Coralito learns that the ocean, like himself, needs a clean and healthy environment. Come meet and talk to the nationally recognized author of Coralito’s Bay, Juan Felipe Herrera, as he reads the story to children in English and Spanish.
Other activities include a Father’s Day card making station using themes from the book, information and family activities related to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, free raffle prizes including the Coralito’s Bay book, sanctuary posters, t-shirts and more! Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase throughout the event.
