  Pillar Point Harbor

Pillar Point Harbor is the only protected harbor between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. The sandy cove where the harbor is located was once used as a whaling station by Portuguese sailors. The harbor's breakwaters were completed in 1961 to provide additional protection from the waves.

The town of Princeton is a commercial fishing and boat building center. Located off Capistrano Rd, the Johnson Pier is popular for fishing and also offers charter fishing boats, whale watching trips, a picnic area, boat ramp, dinghy hoist, and several seafood restaurants. Facilities include wheelchair accessible restrooms.

For more information, call (415) 728-3377.
